Me, Me, Me! Name: Kizz Age: 15 Gender: FuhEEmale
The Character
Full Name: Indigo Romance
Picture:
Nickname(s): Indig. GoGo. Indy.
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Grade: Senior
Boarder or Day Student: Day Student
Clique: Why do moshers have to dress in black? Why do indiekids have to like cups of tea? Why do punks have to like leather and studs? Why do scene kids have to like pokemon/spongebob squarepants? Why do goths have to paint their faces white? Why do emos have to revel in heartbreak? Why does anyone have to be labelled?!
Indigo conforms the stereotypical outcast and rebel, and theres a bit of emo and punk inside her, and those and the cliques she tends to hang around with.
Classes: U.S. History American Problems Sociology Advanced Composition British Literature Modern Literature English 110 Theater
Personality: Indigo is straight up too nice for her own good, she's not the type of person to turn someone away if they need help, even if that person is her biggest enemy. She allows people to walk all over her, mostly because she doesnt want to appear mean or cruel, but inside she hates so many people, she just wont say. No matter how far you look there probably isnt a mean bone inside her body, just a whole lotta rebel bones and attention seeking ways.
Naturally Indigo is just an all round nice person but she does have her mean side, she just doesnt show this to people at school. The fact that she is so easily walked over is one of her main flaws, it makes her easy prey for heartbreak and at times makes her frustrated, because not everyone needs help. But indigo isnt the type of person to give up when someone needs help, and often gets her head bitten off for getting involved. Indigo really just wants to be able to be everyones friend, but stereotypes and school clique systems prevent that, and it frustrates Indigo to a point where she can't cope anymore, and just breaks down. Though indigo usually runs from friends she cant help but not understand why people dont like her, at times it drvies her crazy, but then she remembers Scrag and how they never helped, and so she tries not to care, but at times that proves difficult.
With Family Indigo is a totally different person, shes bitter and cruel and can't stand any of them, and most of the anger she subjects them to is the pent up frustration and anger from being a pushover at school. And indigo is quick to sell people out, due to the fact she doesnt deal well with confrontation, she always makes up excuses to save her own skin. Its amazing she can even stand without a spine.
Shes straight edge, straight up and straight to the point. She doesnt like drugs and she doesnt like drink, and as 'hardcore' as people thinks that makes them, Indigo thinks otherwise and despises the stuff and the people who do it, though she never really tells those people, just expresses her distaste for them in a different way, by ignoring them and giving them the silent treatment. Which is worse than being yelled at.
Appearance: Indigo can usually be found sporting a pair of sunshine yellow skinny fit jeans or a small black mini skirt with leapord print footless tights, its not rare to see her wearing large overcoloured jelwerry either, or her trademark large diamante Hello Kitty necklace. But her most prized clothing posession is a pair of black denim shorts with an upturned hem, which she normally wears over hot pink footless tights, along with 'dolly' shoes printed with cherries on them and a skin tight shirt. Most of her skin tight shirts have some obscenly message on it, or one of her life lessons written on by herself in a sharpie pen. Also, Indigo has a fetish for wearing her own made trucker caps. Designing an extensive line just for herself she has about 80 different trucket caps, each made and designed by her. Each day she wears a different cap, no matter what. Her style is a little scene but overall very different. Indigo at times appears to have a very retro look to her, and she often wears small fitted 70's dresses, and vintage rock t-shirts that she customizes with badges and patches and small slashes in places. Fashion is important to indigo and she dresses very stylishly at all times, even when she goes to bed.
Indigo is very well developed in height and curves, but she is not convinced of how good she really looks. Standing a nice 5'8 she is fairly tall, but not giant, and whereas a lot of girls her age are very very skinny, she isnt, although she is only a size 8, she has very defined curves and happens to be blessed with a slight ghetto bootay. While she doesnt have the body of a supermodel she definatly has the looks and grace of one. A different kind of supermodel look really, sexy and beautiful in a strange way that appeals to a cooler audience.
She dares to be different with her style and wont let anyone tell her what to wear and what not to wear. She's adamant at sticking with her style, and she isnt one to be easily changed so there would be no point in trying. Her eyes are dark and appear darker when rimmed with thickly put on eyeliner and dusty black eyeshadow, and never has Indigo been seen without her trademarke false eyelashes, that are way to long but she can strangely pull them off. Indigo has one tattoo, of a small butterfly that just so happens to be situtated on her left butt cheek. Different but her father said she could only have a tattoo where no-one would see it, and being as moralistic with her values as she is, barely anyone ever sees her ass.
Her hair is a peroxide platinum blonde, and her eyes are a varied colour. On days they can be green, on days blue, on days brown. It all depends on the question of weather, mood and all round randomness. Her skin is fairly pale, enhance by her blonde hair it makes her seem paler, with almost flour white skin. One thing about Indigo is that she has pianist fingers, long nimble fingers that are always tipped with chipped black or white nail polish.

History: Indigo holds herself responsible. Her mother died giving birth to her and from the very moment she was old enough to realise that it broke her heart and made her feel wrong for being alive. Her father, a world widely known chef, raised her but very poorly. He being more fatherly to his work spent less time actually raising his daughter and her brother, Carlos who was 4 years older than his sister. At the age of 14, Indigo began to witness her father coming and going with new girlfriends, each of them younger than the first. Her brother used to tell him that just because his girlfriends kept getting younger, it didnt mean that he would. Indigo was always used to the fights between her brother and her father, growing up in the middle of them and trying to calm the two men down was a way of life for her. It took a lot of fast growing up for indigo to be able to survive in her household, and though at times she wished she could have just ended it all she never did, her brother had always taught her suicide was for cowards, and as harsh as Indigo felt that was, she always nodded and took his advice.
At the age of 16, Indigo was finally introduced to the woman who had one her fathers cold money obsessed heart, and she just happened to be cold and money obsessed too. He'd happen to have been seeing her many years before he actually introduced her to his family, and the old codger had given her two kids! Half siblings that indigo had never learned about until that meeting! Indigo always bitterly thought what a great match they were, made in heaven! In a nutshell, indigo and her stepmother to be didnt hit it off, not right away, not at all. A mutual hate with no love lost. But Indigo always concealed her hate for her soon to be stepmother very well. Better than her brother did who became so angry, he joined the Army to escape being with his father and his fiance. Indigo was distraught, she'd always been so close with her brother, they'd always shared a room, bunk beds because they never wanted to be apart, Indigo was happy being so close to her brother only to wake up one night and find his bunk empty, with just a note informing her of his conscription to serve his country in the war in Iraq.
On her 17th birthday Indigo was eager, she'd been sent a letter saying her brother was coming home, and easily enough she was bouncing off the walls, trying to prepare and great welcomehome/happybirthdaytome party. But when he finally did arrive, she didnt get what she was expecting. Instead of her brother it was a coffin. He'd been near a car when it had exploded on the streets during his patrol. The funeral was three days later and that was indigos last birthday. After that she just stopped celebrating it, she saw no point if her brother wasn't there to celebrate it either.
After a few months of being 17 Indigo decided she needed to get out of the house, away from her family and the room she shared with her brother. She moved to a small apartment extension built above the familys garage, especially for her, where she hid a lot of days. At her old school, she got into a bad crowd, thanks to her niave and sweet nature she was easily taken in by a boy called Marty. Marty was what you could call the school bad boy, the one who taints everything he touches. As cliche as it was, Indigo was in love with him. His friends called in him Scrag, and indigo was firstly attracted to that. He too had an unusual name, and she had always felt so alone, but not when she met Scrag. As their relastionship developed, Scrag began to get indigo into trouble, making her bunk school just so she would come watch him play on the x-box, and often using her for on the sly jobs of stealing and shoplifting. Scrag was involved in heavy drug dealing, and when he asked Indigo for her help, she couldnt help but comply.
On the night of the drug bust, her stepmother to be over heard a phone conversation going on between her and scrag, and took it upon herself to forbid Indigo from leaving. Locked in her room and watching Tv Indigo saw the whole drug bust on CNN. Watching on with terrified traumatised eyes as she read the letters BOY KILLED IN DRUG BUST. After the letters Scrags photo came on screen, and since then, Indigo had never been able to forgive herself. She retreated into a shell of hardness more so than ever, and refused to have anything to do with people. After all, they were the reason Scrag was dead, them and their stupid addictions.
At the age of 18, Indigo left home, buying her own flat and holing up, with just a small job and an education on her shoulders. She tried hard to forget him, but at night she got night terrors, seeing Scrags face every frame of her nightmare, seeing everything of that night playing out in her head as if it were a painful movie to watch. She renounced ever knowing a god and began to become secluded, often crying out for help and friends, but very rarely. She just doesnt trust people anymore, not even the people at school. Not even herself.
