The outside courts are located behind the gymnasium. Basketball practice is usually held outside on a nice day, the games are held in the gymnasium. The courts surface is eighty-four foot by fifty foot of pure tarmac with two baskets screwed on boards ten feet from the ground. The courts are open to any student of Darlington Academy.

Located next to the gymnasium, the pool is open to all students of Darlington Academy. The pool, being outside, is heated to enable the use if the facility all year round, has additional lighting and is fourty meters long and at least twelve feet in depth (in the deep end).

Here are two medium sized greenhouses where plants are cultivated. Students are allowed to grow there own plants. Both houses are a strong structure of glass and metal; the inside heats up because of incoming solar radiation that warms plants, soil and other things inside the houses. Many colorful and zesty plants are veiwed from inside.
