Carissa made her way down to the beach where she liked to spend a lot of her time. Probably because she didn’t really go swimming all that much so when it came time for Carissa having spare time and stuff she loved to swim. It was something that seemed to calm her a lot of the time. Carissa wasn’t exactly sure why but she swam her heart out when she had the time or wasn’t on the go doing many things just to occupy herself. Carissa had always been like that though. She barely ever spent time just sitting around doing nothing, she thought it was just a waste when there was so much more she could be doing.
Carissa was someone who tried her best in everything. She couldn’t just do something crappy, it bugged her when she even tried because she always thought that maybe if she continued to do her best and try to smile every day something good would happen in her life, something would be different. Each day she woke up she had to continue doing this, continue pretending everything was perfectly fine. Carissa still though was happy for her life and even being at this school as it was a get away that she needed. Few people knew about her past and the people that did she cared about the most as they still seemed to accept her even after what had happened.
Carissa was wearing just a simple navy blue bikini and had her hair tied back into pigtails one of the only styles she wore it in if it was up and was thinking of whether she would just jump into the water or just sit for a while. There were a few others her right now but not many seeing as it was close to being completely dark. Just how Carissa liked it. In the dark she could do whatever she wanted and be careless, sometimes she just needed to be like that instead of being aware of every single movement that she made and how it could lad to many mistakes.
Sitting down at the edge wear the water would come and graze her toes she smiled slightly pushing her bangs out of her eyes and looking up at the sky where the first stars were beginning to emerge. She wished someone was here right now as she loved swimming with people instead of by herself but she had decided instead of bothering people to just come down and hopefully someone would eventually come down that she could talk to. Today Carissa was in a good mood. She had done good today and had nothing she regretted, she loved these days as they just seemed to be simple. And quiet. It was the way she liked it. She hated fights and everything like that. They just made her worry about thins that didn’t need to be worried about and retrace her steps to what she could have done to prevent that.
Carissa like to blame everything upon herself a lot of the time which tended to get people a bit angry at times but really as long as she kept most of her feelings to herself it was fine. She didn’t have to worry about anything else. This way nobody would judge how she viewed life unless it was a simple day. Her views really were logical after what happened with her family and all but she wouldn’t be willing to tell people the story behind how she acted each day. She liked to forget about that. Setting her towel across her lap she sighed quietly listening to the chatter around her. Crossing her arms she waited, waited for something to show that what she needed to do at that moment was jump in the water and be set free again.
