Rena looked at him softly, smirking. "Nah, it's okay. I used to drink a loooot - still do - so technically, I am an alcoholic, but I don't let it get the best of me in public." She licked her lips, and wiped the sweat off her forehead. "Imma keep walkin, wanna come along, or you got something better to do?" she asked, squinintg her eyes.
After realizing she was going to get a headache if she kept squinting, she slipped her sunglasses onto her face, instantly feeling better. She felt the water drip down her back, tracing its way down to the hem of her bathing suit, and the hem of her skirt. She slipped off her sandals once more, and felt the sand underneath her toes. She looked at Kaine from under her sunglasses, smiling at him once again, waiting for an answer.

"Um.. no." Kaine answered, "No, I don’t have anything better to do. Infact, I'm not really doing anything at all." He answered with a slight smile. Who knew skipping school would end up in you meeting some interesting and unique new people? Kaine followed after Renaissance along the beach a little more and up to the line of small brightly colored buildings; a minute arcade, an ice-cream parlor, a souvenir shop, a diminutive restaurant, a shop that sold beach things such as boards, items of clothing, and children's beach toys, and then a smoothie bar.
He looked back to Renaissance and made small conversation, "Do you live around here? Or are you a tourist or something?" He asked, running a hand through his hair once more, "I mean you look far too cool to come from this boring old town." Entering the smoothie bar Kaine sat on a white barstool and brushed off the sand on his feet and between his toes before he put his socks and shoes back on.

Rena snorted roughly, she too getting her own aseat at the bar. "Oh no, no no no no no. I'd never be a cooby-goober tourist. I'm here for the school. Because Imma smart girl," she said, snorting once more at her own comment. She looked at him over her glasses and smiled with her toxically painted red lips. "You look pretty badass yourself, mah dear." She ordered another drink, this one lime green that sat nicely in a smoked glass. It was plastic, again, of course, and was shaped like a bellplant like the old one, except this one was bigger with a more narrow neck and a squatter base.
She took a sip of it and curled her face sourly. This was one sour sonovabitch to be sipping on. She loved it. After smacking her lips and licking the roof of her mouth, she shivered and drank a little more. This time the outcoem was less dramatic because she was expecting it. She turned to Kaine.
"You gonna order somethin'? I'll buy," she said, smiling softly at him and waving her hand vaguely at the counter.
